受動態①受動態はbe動詞文「～される」の形

Helen：So, Gary, what did you think of “Ramenator15”?

Gary：Hmmm, it had good action scenes and humor, but it wasn’t Armold’s best.

Helen：I agree. It was really fun until the last ten minutes.

             最後の10分間まではとても面白かったです。

　　　  untilは「～まで」、「ある時点までは状況が続く」のイメージ。

　　　　―――→]until

            The movie was spoiled by the ending.

Gary：I know. He died and came back to life again.

Helen：And he said, “I’m back,” of course.

Gary：Right. Can’t the scriptwriters think of anything more original?

　　　 脚本家はもっと独創的なセリフを思いつくことができないのでしょうか？

      　 否定疑問文は、意外・心外・同意を求める気持ちなど、

　　　感情的色彩を強く押し出す。 文の助動詞要素にnotを付けるだけ。

　　　 ①助動詞　“can” ” will” ” should” ” must” ” shall” ” may”

      　  ②do< does.did>

 　       ③be動詞

Helen：Well, that line is expected b the fans.

受動態

The movie was spoiled by the ending.

映画はその結末で台無しにされました。

受動態は通常の文(能動態)では「目的語」となる行為対象が「主語」となり、

「(主語)が～される」を表す形。

能動態spoiled the movie → 受動態the movie was spoiled

受動態はいわゆる「be動詞+過去分詞」とされているが、

この場合、be動詞は「＝(イコール)」の単なるつなぎであり、

We are happy.となんら変わらない。

①「～される」の意味は過去分詞が受け持ち、主語を過去分詞で説明する意識。

②行為者を表すby(～によって)は、「近接・そば」のイメージ。

   行為の「そば」に感じられるためbyを使う。

③句動詞の受動態はまとめて扱う。

　 “talk about” ” find out” ” put off”

 　Their victory was talked about for years.

 　彼等の勝利は何年も語り継がれた。

1. This portrait was painted by my grandfather.

 　     行為「描く」paint

          能動態　painted this portrait(目的語→主語)

2. This movie was directed by my favorite actor.

  　    行為「監督する」direct

　　  directed「監督される」

3. Last night’s match was put off due to heavy snow.

  　   句動詞put off「～を延期する」

　　due to「～によって」原因を表す堅い印象のフレーズ。

   ニューオリンズで3ＬＤＫのマンションを借りたいのですが。

4. a.　I like to eat out… 外食が好きです…。     　

    b.　So I would like a condo that’s near restaurants.

           ですので、近くにレストランがあるマンションがいいです。

5. a. I like to take a walk in the morning.

        朝に散歩をするのが好きです。　    

    b.  So I would like to a condo that’s near a park.　            

         ですので、近くに公園があるマンションがいいです。

6. a. I take a walk with my dog at night. 夜に犬と散歩をします…。     　

    b. so I would like a condo that’s in a safe area.           

       ですので、治安のいいエリアにあるマンションがいいです。
