　　　　・see「つきあう」という意味も。

　　　　・behind my back「私の背中の後ろで→見えないところで」

Day5 Journey Across The U.S.!　Rent a Condo in New Orleans

1. Let’s find the right condo for you!

    First… What kind of location would you like?

　→ Actually, I would like a condo that’s within walking distance to restaurants,

       if possible. But I would like a condo that’s safe and somewhat quiet.

2.This condo building is perfect… It’s within walking distance to a streetcar stop,

   shops and restaurants, and the Mardi Gras parade… Do you eat out often?

　→ Yeah… I eat out pretty often.

3.This location is great for you! This one is available.

   It’s on the first floor. Is a condo on the first floor OK with you?

   → Well, for security, I would like a higher floor.

4.There’s another one on te second floor with a good view, but there’s no elevator.

   Are you able to climb some stairs?

　 → One flight of stairs…I think I can do that…

5.I see. Well, we can see the one on the first floor today. Would you like to see it?

   → Yes, I’m excited to see it actually.

6.I’ll tell you what. I’ll make some calls and show you some other condos in that area.    You’d like to rent a condo for one month, right?

→ That’s right. And by the way, one special request: I need plenty of sunshine.

日本語の部屋は、英語ではroomではなく、マンション内ならcondo,unit。

英語room はベットルームを意味する、3LDKなら英語ではthree bedrooms。

お風呂やトイレの数は、two bathsのように表現し、roomは付けない。
